Herdade do Peso Ícone 2018 Red is a distinguished red wine from Portugal's Alentejo region, meticulously crafted by Herdade do Peso. This wine is produced from a blend of Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional, and Petit Verdot grapes, selected from the estate's finest vineyards. The 2018 vintage experienced cooler temperatures in July and August, with a characteristic September, allowing for excellent phenolic maturation. After malolactic fermentation, the wine aged for 12 months in 3,000-liter French oak barrels.

Tasting Notes:

Deep ruby color, very appealing. On the nose, wild black forest fruits stand out with a background of underbrush where tobacco leaf predominates. In the mouth, it is a wine with a strong initial impact and volume. The tannins are very present but with excellent ripeness, and vibrant acidity that makes the wine long and very gastronomic.
