Monte do Zambujeiro 2020 is a distinguished red wine from the Alentejo region of Portugal, produced by Quinta do Zambujeiro. The wine is pressed from the younger vines of the Quinta. It is hand-harvested and hand-sorted on conveyor belts. It is fermented in steel tanks. It is matured for 12 months in used French oak barrels. It is unfined (no animal-based proteins).

Tasting Notes:

Dark violet red. The bouquet is intense and deep, a mix of fruit and ethereal flower scents, with hints of toast and smoke. It is solidly built with soft tannins and quite some extract, lots of juicy fruit, and a spicy taste. It is a fine and pleasant food wine.
